The developer has not uploaded a Prototype yet...

Yes sir, we promised you a great match!

"Probably the best game in history" - A friend of mine.

"This game is the bee's knees" - My Granny.

"Can you stop doing that and help me with stuff?" - Wife.

"If I caught you again working on your videogame during office hours I'll go Mr. McMahon and fire your ass!" - My boss.

Welcome to the first combat prototype for the upcoming Wrestling Thunder City Gameboy homebrew videogame.  I sincerely hope you enjoy it.

Wrestling Thunder City is a wrestling-themed , top-down RPG for retro games enthusiasts and wrestling fans alike, with the main purpose of depicting what's life outside the ring more than keeping it in there.

A few words about me, I'm from Santiago, Chile and I just love videogames and wrestling in general.  I wanted to give it a try at learning the ropes (no pun intended) of game development with GB Studio as with all the limitations it has it can only make your brain work harder at being creative and also, to keep the scope in check. I don't have a programmer or pixel art background so definitely the art is not final (it even contains borrowed art from GB Studio template!) and the rest of the gameplay needs a lot of polish and features (like limiting the use of attacks with an stamina bar for instance) as for the moment I'm limited by the science of my era (or my brain to be exact).

For the music, I tag teamed (no pun intended I swear!) with TipTopTomCat who has done a badass work with the chiptunes. Hope you enjoy his music and I invite you to visit his twitter @TomcatTiptop.

In the meantime I'll keep learning as much as I can for you guys to get a demo version this year! Kindly report any bugs or glitches you might find. Feedback is greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

What in the world! This is pretty cool bro! Didn't know you already have a lot made. When you replied to my comment on my page I thought you were still just writing down stuff for your game. Would love to create more systems to be available on my page to help you finish this wrestling game of yours!

Very great prototype🤗💪🏻 Do you still work on the game?

Hey! Actually I am getting a prototype of the world ready. Not this month though since I hurt my arm and had to take a break 😬🤕

Oh no, I‘m sorry to hear. Hope you get well soon 💪🏻🤗

Did you do the graphics yourself? It looks really good

Hey! Thanks for taking a look at it! And here I was thinking that the graphics needed tons of polish or re-thinking!

I took a look at these guidelines for graphics:

Tried of course my own twist but also at this stage (prototype) I borrowed characters from the GB Template. All to be replaced with new pixel art as I move forward with a complete demo if it all goes well.
